RentSure is a UK landlord compliance platform. It identifies the supported requirements that apply to each property, prioritises missing and time-sensitive actions, connects evidence to the relevant requirement and sends email and in-app reminders.

How does RentSure work out what applies?

The rules engine uses the property’s nation, type, tenancy, HMO status and other relevant facts. It also records exemptions and flags when a local licensing scheme or council condition needs to be checked rather than assuming one rule applies everywhere.

How does the free trial work?

You can try RentSure’s core compliance workflow for 14 days without a credit card. Add a property, review its supported requirements and upload evidence. The trial ends unless you choose a paid plan, so there is no automatic charge.

What does Smart Upload do?

Accepted Answer

Smart Upload uses AI to propose the document type, dates, certificate details and requirement match. You review and confirm every extraction before it can count towards compliance. Unreviewed, unmatched and archived documents do not change the compliance status.

Will RentSure remind me before something expires?

Yes. RentSure schedules email and in-app reminders for supported missing, expiring and overdue requirements. The Reminders page shows the future schedule and delivery history. SMS reminders are not currently included.

Can I export my compliance records?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export a portfolio compliance pack as PDF or CSV, including the requirements and evidence in the selected scope. This can help with information requests from a council, insurer, lender or professional adviser.

Does RentSure give legal advice or certify compliance?

Accepted Answer

No. RentSure supports compliance administration using its maintained rules engine and the information and evidence you provide. It does not provide legal advice, replace an authority’s decision or guarantee that a property is legally compliant. You remain responsible for meeting your obligations.

Do you support HMOs?

Yes. The Business plan supports HMO-specific requirements and room and communal-area records. HMO definitions, licensing schemes, amenity standards and licence conditions vary by nation, council and property, so RentSure identifies the supported national requirements and records the local scheme information you provide.

Can I add multiple users?

Accepted Answer

No. Each subscription currently supports one user. Multi-user organisations, agent workspaces and role-based access are outside the current product scope.

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Data is encrypted in transit, database access is restricted by account using row-level security, and documents are held in access-controlled storage. The Privacy Policy lists the production service providers, purposes, processing locations and retention periods.

What happens if I exceed my unit limit?

The Small Landlord plan includes up to 5 units. Portfolio and Business customers can add units beyond the included 25 or 75 at the published per-unit rate, or move to a plan that better fits the portfolio.

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancel from Settings. Paid access continues until the end of the current billing period, and you can export your compliance data before access ends. Any refund rights are governed by the Terms of Service and applicable law.
